Accounts & Admin Assistant
A new position has arisen for an Accounts and Admin Assistant to assist the Office Manager & MD with day-to-day bookkeeping and general administration duties for a busy office based in North Somerset. Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
Role Description:
• Support the Office Manager, MD & External Accountants
• Purchase invoice processing and purchase ledger control
• Sales invoice processing and sales ledger control
• Bank reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• General data entry using accounting software Sage and Excel
• Assist with general day to day running of accounts
• Admin duties – formatting documents, updating the company database, typing duties, updating company documents, updating company policies and procedures
• Fleet management
• General administration duties to support Managing Director & Office Manager
Requirements:
• Experience in a similar role
• Excellent office administration
• An understanding of construction, but not essential
Skills:
• Previous experience of using accounting software
• Computer skills (MS Office Essential) including the ability to operate computerised spread sheet
• Must have previous experience with bookkeeping
• Attention to detail
• Be highly organised and able to prioritise workload
• Effective verbal, written and listening communications skills
• Must be motivated to work on own
• Problem solving, pro-active
Hours: 3 days a week to start with scope for days to increase (9am – 5pm)
