The weather might be a bit depressing but we’re still smiling at Group Headquarters as we’ve just framed our most recent accreditation for CHAS (The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme). Just in case you missed our last blog, that’s three accreditations in just over a month!

What is CHAS? 

The CHAS health and safety assessment scheme is a pre-approval scheme to allow contractors to show potential clients that they meet the required health and safety standards. It was created in 1997 to improve health and safety standards in organisations across the UK. But this isn’t just another certificate for our wall, this accreditation brings peace of mind that we are doing our very best to ensure the safety of our staff, our clients and members of the public that we come into contact with at sites.

Why get this accreditation?

Being CHAS approved means an automatic pre-approval to work with over 900 clients, with more looking to use the schemes contractors each day. These prospective clients will know that you are a reliable, trustworthy and professional company that complies with all the relevant health and safety legislation. It’s great to be able to provide this reassurance to clients from the very beginning.

How can you apply for CHAS?

The assessment is carried out electronically so if you visit the CHAS website it can provide you with all the information you need and you can apply online through the site there and then.
